Eight theme committees, consisting of eighteen co-chairs have been meeting since the initial Focus 2020 kickoff event on September 4, 2008. An initial community meeting was held in October to gather community input. There have been well over 50 committee meetings involving over 100 community and regional residents since the process began. Each committee continues to solicit public participation in the process with individual requests, surveys, focus groups and seeking organizational input from various segments of the community, region and state. While the process continues to move forward, committee leaders encourage citizen input into the process whenever and wherever possible.
